Overview
West Amadeus Music Studio, nestled in the heart of Manhattan, was established by two gifted Juilliard graduates. They were interested in taking their studio to the next level, but unsure how. While Manhattan is filled with opportunity, it’s also home to an incredible amount of music schools and individual teachers, which raises the level of competition significantly.
They initially created their own website using Squarespace, but it fell short in a number of ways. Their branding and unique value proposition was severely underrepresented, and the overall ability to effectively convert visitors into customers was limited.
West Amadeus Music Studio used various marketing strategies, including performing recitals in schools. However, these efforts were not only time-intensive but also yielded inconsistent results.
Strategy
We met with the founders and determined the first starting point was to give potential students a great place to learn more about the school.
We redesigned their website on WordPress, focusing on crafting content that would engage and inform visitors about the school and its staff. We paid special attention to making call-to-action elements prominent and ensuring consistent branding throughout the site for a cohesive user experience, something that was lacking with the previous website.
After completing the website overhaul, we developed targeted Google Ad campaigns tailored to their unique demographic and the types of lessons they offer in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Our insight into the world of music school marketing allowed us to bypass much of the standard learning phase, and by the third month they were averaging 10+ leads on an ad spend below $1,000.
This number has continued to increase with our ongoing optimizations. As of writing, we see leads being generated below $50 in a competitive, and wealthy area.
Results
West Amadeus Music Studio saw an amazing increase in leads and students over the next several months. Over the following year and beyond, growth was nothing short of explosive. Organic traffic, which was nearly nonexistent before our involvement, transformed from a mere trickle into a steady and reliable stream each month. Combined with targeted advertising efforts, this resulted in a significant and sustained increase in monthly visitors.
The analytics graph below illustrates this remarkable growth. Over the past 16+ months, traffic has nearly doubled. The total number of lesson inquiry form submissions reached 1,061, and when including calls and self-booked appointments, that number exceeds 1,200.
Furthermore, we provided guidance on optimizing their Google Business Profile, aiming to enhance their online visibility and improve the organic ranking of their profile.
Over the course of just a few months, they expanded their team by adding more than 13 teachers, significantly enhancing the studio’s capacity and markedly boosting its potential for success.
